The Last Sadhana
Meditating between the hours of 3-6 AM allows you the chance to create immense change in your life. These hours are known by kundalini yogis as The Ambrosial Hours.✨
The city is a bit more asleep (NYC-wise), and you’ll meditate to the rising of the☀️.
I learned about sadhana through my beloved (and now closed) Golden Bridge NYC. In March 2018, we did our last sadhana at the studio before Golden Bridge closed doors. Pictured here is my friend @richardcarl.nyc whom I met during teacher training a couple years back. Closing out the space with him, along with those that I’ve shared deep spiritual growth with was emotional, yet powerful and a reminder that permanence is an illusion.
How we move forward as a spiritual community will bring forth so much love and joy for humanity, but we’ll never forget our roots, and be grateful for the training, the friendships, the love shared. We’re on a path to rewrite what it means to gather, to build communities in more inclusive ways. Sadhana is discipline and love rolled into one.
I’ve now completed 7 Days of Sadhana on IGTV at @goinwardlb, and am leading Sadhana every Tuesday at @goinwardlb in Long Beach at 4:30AM. Today focused on 3 tips to close out your morning Sadhana:
1. Read inspirational quotes, passages from books, poetry. Anything from Deepak to Tupac, what inspires you? Pick something the night before to help drive forward your Sadhana.
2. Pray, practice Gratitude. Pray for those in need, pray for family and strangers alike. Pray for that new job, for forgiveness for being that asshole cutting everyone off while driving to work, this is the time to talk with God, the universe, the source, whatever you call it.
3. Journal. Write down and contemplate your experience with meditation and prayer. Write out goals, write FOR you. Whatever comes to mind get it out on paper. Stay tuned, as I’ll be releasing a guidebook on tips for a morning sadhana practice.
